Trail-built no-pull harness
Your dog isn't the problem.
Back-clip harnesses reward pulling — the harder your dog leans in, the more they get. The PawHerd front clip redirects it. The walk stops being a fight.
Why it stops pulling
Standard collars and back-clip harnesses anchor the leash over your dog's strongest muscles — so pulling gets rewarded with momentum. The PawHerd front clip redirects that momentum sideways, gently turning your dog back toward you. No yanking, no choking — just physics that makes loose-leash walking click, usually within the first week.
Size guide
Measure the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs. Girth matters more than weight. Between sizes? Size up.

M — 26–53 lbs (12–24 kg) · chest 22–31 in (56–78 cm)
L — 40–75 lbs (18–34 kg) · chest 26–35 in (66–90 cm)

Reflective stitching
Redirects the pull
The front chest clip turns forward force sideways. Your dog gets steered back toward you instead of driving ahead. No choking. No yanking.
Seen after dark
Reflective stitching, so the 6am walk and the after-work walk are both visible ones.
Control when it counts
A grab handle across the back. For crossings, vets, trailheads, and the two seconds before a squirrel.
Full body weight, straight ahead.
Redirected. Back toward you.
Why the harness you have makes it worse
Dogs have an opposition reflex — push against them and they push back. A leash clipped between the shoulder blades gives them something to push against, right over their strongest muscles. Every pull is rewarded with forward motion. You are, without meaning to, training them to pull harder.
Move the clip to the chest and the physics invert. Forward force gets converted into a turn. The dog ends up facing you instead of dragging you. Nothing is tightened. Nothing is squeezed. The pull just stops paying off.
Find your dog's size
Get it wrong and it costs you nothing. Wrong size? We ship the right one free — and you keep the first. You never have to mail anything back.
The two-finger rule: properly fitted, you should be able to slide two fingers flat under any strap.
| Size | Dog weight | Chest girth |
|---|---|---|
| S | 13–29 lbs (6–13 kg) | 17–24 in (44–61 cm) |
| M | 26–53 lbs (12–24 kg) | 22–31 in (56–78 cm) |
| L | 40–75 lbs (18–34 kg) | 26–35 in (66–90 cm) |
| XL | 73–104 lbs (33–47 kg) | 31–41 in (78–105 cm) |
Ranges overlap on purpose. Girth is primary; weight is secondary. Between sizes? Size up.
I built this for one specific, impossible dog.
My dog loses her mind at everything. Squirrels, bikes, other dogs, a leaf moving wrong. On a collar she was genuinely uncontrollable — sixty pounds of pure enthusiasm at the end of a rope, and me trying not to get pulled into the road.
The thing that changed it wasn't training. It was a harness. Same dog, same enthusiasm, suddenly a walk instead of a fight.
That's the whole reason PawHerd exists. I'm just one person, and I focus on one thing: helping make walks calmer, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone.

Questions, answered.
How do I know what size to get?
Measure the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs — that number matters more than weight. Put it into the size finder above. If you land between two sizes, size up. And if it's still wrong when it arrives, we'll send the right size free and you keep the first one.
My dog is a serious puller. Will this actually work?
The front clip changes the physics rather than restraining the dog — pulling stops producing forward motion, so it stops being rewarding. Most dogs respond within a few walks. It's not a magic switch and it's not a substitute for training. If it doesn't change your walks in 30 days, we refund you and you keep it.
Is this a choke, prong, or correction device?
No. Nothing tightens, pinches, or squeezes. The harness sits still and the leash attachment point does the work.
What does shipping cost, and how fast is it?
Shipping is free. There is no shipping charge at checkout and no surprise at the last step. It arrives in 3–8 business days.
Why do you need my phone number?
The carrier requires it to send delivery updates and to reach you if something goes wrong in transit. We never call you and we never share it.
What if it doesn't fit or doesn't work?
30 days, full refund, and you keep the harness — you never have to ship anything back. Email support@pawherd.com with a photo of it on your dog and tell us what happened. Wrong size specifically? We'll send the right one free.
How do I wash it?
Cold water, mild soap, air dry.
Who's behind PawHerd?
One person and one very excitable dog. The full story's above.
